Wow! Part two!!

Can't believe it's almost another school year over!

My two finished preschool yesterday, Sprouts. DD 'graduated'. There were a few tears!

Tootsie that's so true. He works very long days cooking in a kitchen but comes home hungry lol

How did your interviews go, Sprouts and Biddy?

While we're on the subject of food - has anyone ever bought a KellyBronze Turkey? I was really disappointed in my turkey last year and I'm thinking about spending a bit extra on one that's really good. Any thoughts?

The Christmas tree is here....if I didn't have the plumber and British guy coming this afternoon, I'd be putting the tree sort of up so could see what it will look like

DS is a tad under the weather today... he requested we watch a Christmas DVD - how could I say no!!

I got a preliminary all clear at the breast clinic. My scans will be reviewed by a second consultant and I'll get a call if I need to go back.

Great news, Woolly! I imagine on call back they focus on the specific thing they have concerns about so have a good idea what they think.

Ye are not allowed to schlep anywhere on Christmas Day, tootsie by proclamation of the MN Christmas Massif.

There will be lots of pre-made food which ye will not be cooking, and toys to play with, which ye may indulge in. And chocolate. We may add to this list when we have seen the Christmas Food Porn Brochures.

All are welcome to visit, provided they bring Christmas cheer and a pair of helping hands. And are at least vaguely known to you

DS will be 2.9 at Christmas, and this will be the last year of us visiting family on the day, I think. Or at least of us having Christmas dinner out. Next year we'll just spend the day at home, hopefully with MIL doing the cooking...

Tootsie yes definitely a year to plan to stay put. Maybe research taxi companies that might be available on the day so you have options closer to the time to persuade your folks (here, they are available but must be booked in advance or you are waiting hours - but if you plan ahead it's perfectly do-able).

My interview this morning was ok - I can look the Board in the eye when I meet them but I have no idea if I did enough to get through to the second round. There's a 3rd board doing 1st rounds late next week, so we'll all hear on Monday week who is getting 2nd round that Wed/Thurs (as in - 2 days notice!). And there's a BIG retirement gig on the Wed night!

Every fourth year on Christmas night I sit up to watch the Boxing Day in the Ashes cricket series in Australia. At the end of the last away series I was taken seriously ill. I was told that I wouldn't be alive to see the next away Ashes series.

So far I've proved the buggers wrong and can't wait to sit up all night again this year, complete with cold turkey sandwiches!!

Will you be a school lab tech Sprout? Apologies if you have already said that. My ALevel chemistry lab tech was a superstar who had to deal with my humiliation when my knicker elastic snapped during my practical exam I finished the exam commando with my knickers in my pocket
