Help!!! Do I reorder or not?

Help me please!

I ordered my DD''s some light up trainers from amazon at the start of December. It looks like these.won't arrive in time for Christmas. ..though they have been dispatched. ..from China it turns out! No tracking details, apart from one for a parcel service called yanwen. ..which hasn't updated the status in 13 days.

Amazon have agreed to give me a refund, and I could order some slightly different trainers to arrive tomorrow from them. Only issues is it'll cost me an extra £20 (we do have the money).

Should I reordered and get some slightly different ones which'll arrive Christmas day, or wait and just give my DD''s the trainers whenever they eventually arrive. DD''S are 5 and 2 BTW, they need new trainers ideally but haven't asked for them or are expecting them.

Help!

Take the refund and reorder different trainers. I've been waiting 11 weeks for something purchased from China through Amazon....

Wow catz. ... 11 weeks :O I ordered something else from China a week ago and it's already arrived! Thought I'd be safe with the trainers...but obviously not!

At that age id just wait and get them simethimg different from a shop.. yoi say they need trainers anyway so i wouldnt count them as pressies

They aren't 'present' presents for them :) just thought the timing was good as they are snazzy ones with lights etc, and a heeley style with lights for the eldest!

They wouldn't be getting a 'replacement' present from the shop as they have plenty as it is!

I'm more.worried I think that I'll still be waiting by the end of January as amazon think they may have been lost or a severe delay!

To be honest whether you reorder or not I'd be taking the refund for the ones you've already ordered. Call me cynical, with a courier you can't track and no delivery date in sight they may well never arrive. I don't know if there's any forgotten logic to it, by I also don't like to let 28 days go by after ordering something without having either the item or the money back. And it sounds like that might happen for you.

On the plus side I've never found Amazon to be particularly good value. A bit of time on Google and you may well be able to find the same or similar for less than you paid anyway.

Initially Inwas going to say Yes, reorder. But based in the children's ages and the face they haven't been begging you for them (think teenagers that can't possibly live another day without something) I'd just wait for the refund and buy trainers eleswhere.

I think you'll feel less stressed if you accept the refund and order the other ones. Give yourself more time to wrap
