I love my Christmas films. All types. However I have never seen this one as it seemed a bit too saptastic when it came out. One of my friends has been trying to convince me it really is a good Christmasy harmless fun. Is it? I don't want to waste 2 hours of my seasonal viewing on something awful when I could have something amazing on.

I watched it last night. It's lovely and heart warming

I thought it was diabolical, personally! Dp likes it (but he is clearly insane).

I stayed up later than intended to watch it last night for the hundredth time. It really is a feel-good movie.

Amazing film! One of my favourite Xmas ones. In fact, I have just seen it mentioned on another thread and decided to watch it tonight!

The Holiday is truly one of the worst films I've seen in my life. Personally I think everyone involved in it should be ashamed!

Love that film

It's a storyline with two plots running at once. One part is a tad annoying but the other part is so lovely it balances it out. I don't like so called chick flicks but I quite like The Holiday overall. Try it.

Oh my good grief, this film makes me want to scratch out my eyes it is soooooooooo bad. Stereotypes abound, cam Diaz can't act for toffee and I can't believe jude law and Kate Winslet chose to be in this steaming pile of manure.

I really can't stand Cameron Diaz, I find her voice so irritating, but it really is a lovely film. I love the English setting.

I really like it, but I do like crap romcom cheesy films (I like clever films too so it balances out!)

Random factoid about The Holiday was that it was the first time Kate W had appeared in a non-period piece film where she played a Brit!
