How to present this present

I need help with my family Secret Santa. I drew my DIL and decided on a year's magazine subscription. She's going back to work from mat leave soon so thought a monthly mag would give a bit of chill time over 2017. I've also got her a rose bush which seems weird but there's a story behind it and she'll be pleased.
I've got nothing to give for the mag sub, so how on earth can I 'wrap' this combo. The only link is the mag is 'Red' and the rose is too !

Buy her the December issue and wrap it with a note included explaining the gift?

I've bought it today ! I'll wrap it in red sparkly paper with a tag explaining it's coming every month.
And the rose in the same paper scrunched together at the top like a big pineapple
