I am involved in my office secret Santa. I am new to the office and don't know the person I got very well. All I know is she is approximately 25 and female. I was shopping on the weekend and saw a glass jar of ingredients to make Christmas cookies, it was over the £5 budget so decided to make my own. I have used this recipe www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/956638/chocolate-brownie-mix-in-a-jar but now it's done I am doubting myself. I am basically giving someone a jar of flour and sugar, should I look for something else?!?!

I personally think its a great idea! Its exactly the same as (if not better than) the jar you saw in the shop but that one was overpriced. I don't understand why some people think something is better just because it costs more when it could be exactly the same thing as something that costs less!!! Maybe just tie a red ribbon round the jar to make it look more fancy? The only concern that comes to mind - and I don't want to make you worry unnecessarily - do you know she won't be allergic to any of the ingredients? To be on the safe side, in addition to the full list of ingredients, maybe inc warnings like "this was not produced in a nut free environment" etc.

I wish someone would give me something like this - I have a sweet tooth but am sometimes too lazy or tired to do all the prep for baking.
