Feckin Amazon 'undeliverable' parcel

Finally thought I was getting somewhere with the present buying and I've just had a message from Amazon saying they've refunded me for a package as it was undeliverable.

It's two items (not huge but not small enough to fit through the letter box, and both on DD's wish list). But they were ordered at the same time as six other items which were delivered without any issue yesterday, so why is this package 'undeliverable'? And of course because of their system they won't send it back out to me again, I have to reorder and now there's only two in stock so I just have to pray mine is picked and packed before some other bugger gets it. And that this time they actually get it here.

And breathe.

I've had this problem a lot with amazon this year- they are normally great with their customer service too, but this really annoys me as they always wait until after the delivery date to suddenly announce its gone missing or is undeliverable/damaged. My DDs birthday present- a dressing table- managing to go missing, and the second one was apparently damaged. The third one eventually arrived but by then it was two weeks after her birthday. My sons advent calendar from the US amazon also was 'undeliverable', and so the one we eventually received was a week late. It annoys me when you have emailed to check it is still coming as the tracking hasn't changed in ages, and they tell you it is, when clearly it isn't.

We've had this as well with Amazon this year, it was really bloody inconvenient.

Asda did a similar thing to me.I saw a cheap lego set my son wanted for Xmas, paid for it on click and collect.then received an email saying the delivery can broke down so if have to wait a little longer.after chasing it up after a couple weeks they said that it has gone missing and they refunded me!I checked in their website and they had the same lego set in stock, but for £10 more than I originally paid.

It could have been damaged, that would make sense.

If it was damaged I'd forgive them, I suppose. And I'm lucky that there's still time - just - for it to get here by Christmas, rather than late. It's just it feels like two steps forward and one back and I'm desperate to get everything here and wrapped.
