Trinkets for boys...?

My 9yo DS enjoys collecting little trinkets - think glass animals, unusual pens, mini Pokemon. Any ideas for stocking fillers along this theme?

Lego mini figures, rubbers, stretchy snowman, christmas badges, buttons

Shiny, unusual £2.00 coins, novelty rubbers, not sure it would be your DS's cup of tea but my DS has asked for 'my fossil beach' which is a box full of sand and fossils to sift through.
