My kids have been lovely this year and haven't asked for much, they haven't got a main present as there's nothing they need. I'm conscious they are going to be bored after opening their presents as it's mainly stuff like new football boots, pj's dressing gown etc. A bit of lego, An xbox game each and other little bits. Can anyone think of anything else that would keep them entertained for not lots of £££? DD is 10 and DS is 8. Thanks

Sounds fine to me, although we don't go overboard at Christmas. Ours wouldn't be bored with a new video game and Lego. But how about a good family board game. There are already several threads on here with excellent suggestions.

What you need is a family Pitchcar tournament.
It's part of our rituals now. We even have the rankings on a board. Great fun; simple for all and yet seriously competitive!

Family board game e.g. Carcassonne.

We always have an extra pressie arrive under the tree unlabelled during xmas lunch which is a game we can play together.

I'm also doing a treasure hunt for some of the presents for Christmas afternoon.

Treasure hunt is s good idea. We are hosting this year and DC are planning a treasure hunt for Ferrero Rocher (while DH makes the coffee). Not sure what great uncle will make of that!
