Fartknobs!

We like brussels sprouts, but they do not like us. It's not even funny, because the bloating is painful (for me) and the trumping is boak-worthily rank from all of us.

Charcoal tablets with the meal reduce the trumping brilliantly for dh and the dc. Plus the dc love the way they turn your teeth black temporarily. Unfortunately that is the only effect they have on me.

But I want my sprouts! Waaaah!

Is there a different way of cooking them that will make them safe for me? A different magic pill? A magic trick?

They are better roasted than boiled. Not sure this would solve the problem though!

They are lovely roasted (and sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds mmmmmm). But still fartknobby. Sad

I shred them and stirfry them with mustard and cream and pancetta. Have never measured the fart effect though

Not sure if it will work for sprouts but taking Deflatine tablets for trapped wind is good and takes pain away, or try buscopan which is for IBS but helps sore tummy and over eating type pain

As that time of the year comes around again, I search again for a solution to the fartknobbiness of sprouts.

Any tips?
