I'm new to this but looking for some advice please...

Approaching our first Xmas as a family of three, I'd really like to get some nice gifts for my wife from baby. Everything seems a bit naff. I just want her to have something sweet that makes her feel appreciated.

Probably being silly but would love some suggestions!

Thanks!

What are you getting for your wife?

(Could get something to go with it/match)

Ahh that's nice and she will appreciate the effort.

A necklace with child's name and date of birth - a nice one. Not on the high street might be worth a look. I had something similar and I LOVE it. Judging by the look of it, it was very cheap but it still means the world to me.

A promise that EVERY sat or Sun you will do all night wakings and get out of bed to see to baby at VERY FIRST sound, this is to include a long lie in and bath time. Obvs this is no less than you should be doing but it's nice to not feel bad nudging your partner awake because it's their turn.

What about a picture shoot? I am photo obsessed mind.

Box of her fav pampering treats if she is into that. Or vouchers to do something fun like a surf lesson or hair cut or champagne cream tea for her and a friend. Its easy to get lose your identity and just feel like a mum so something that reminds her she is more than that and an opportunity to do something she enjoys.

A friend has private Pilates lessons to get her shape back as that was really important to her.

Good luck, so come back and let me know what you go for

A nice pandora bracelet with charm from baby? Can add to it on birthdays and christmas in future

Lots of jewellery on Etsy that can be personalised. E.g. infinity bracelet with personalised charms.

Read the thread, also in Christmas, entitled something like "what do you really want for Christmas but won't get because everyone thinks it's too weird etc" and then have a think about anything she's pointed out lately.
Hint: It'll probably be to do with a current or possible hobby or interest, rather than the fact that she's just become a mum. Smile

Aw. That's nice. Our DS was 10 months for our first Christmas together and DP 'arranged' gifts on his behalf Grin. What is your DW interested in? As Somerville says does she have an interest/hobby that she enjoys but maybe has put on hold a bit due to pregnancy or because of tight finances? She will know that you've thought about it and bought it!
