oir 1st year doong this s so wondered for those who elf on the shelf what has been your best ideas you have came up with... pics if poss .

This will be our first year too, so can't really help, although I do have a very full Pinterest board with lots of ideas! Perhaps have a look there to see what ones you could do? I'm hoping to have enough ideas that I won't have to wreck the place (thinking snow angels in sprinkles rather than flour).

bumping my thread for new ideas

First year mine arrived via the toilet - wrapped it in wrapping paper .

This year he will be arriving in the sink - will cover it in clingfilm ,then fill with marshmallows. Elf will sit on a toy car and be attached to reindeer - made of nativity rubber ducks

When I run out of ideas he steals the star from the top of the christmas tree. Replaces it with himself and challenges the kids to find the star.

Have him stealing chocolates out the advent calendars
