Programmable robot/toy for 10 year old

Can anyone recommend a programmable robot, kit or similar for my 10 year old? Lego Mindstorms looks immense but it's out of reach - I'm thinking max £100. I think she is a bit past stuff like Bigtrak and beebots but I'm not sure what comes next.

Thanks for any ideas.

DS is getting one of these

Obviously we haven't built/tested it yet but there are a few youtube videos of people building/running it. DH has had a look through the instructions and included programes and thinks DS should be able to manage it without too much help.

We've bought a Makeblocks Mbot for DS.

Not a robot but a Raspberry Pi might interest him/her

We're debating something like this for DS, who's 9.

If you don't mind 2nd hand & think she'd really like the lego mindstorms, you should be able to get a complete & functional NXT 2.0 set on ebay for £100 or a little under if you're patient and keep watching. I think our set was around £95 including postage. Obviously it's not as up to date as the EV3, but still loads of fun :)

Thank you all, I'm really grateful for the inspiration.
