pklme · 20/11/2016 19:50

Engraved tankard with suitable message- pet name or 'inspirational/silly message.
Old mout cider
Toiletries
External battery brick for phone etc.
Tiny magnets you can fiddle and sculpt
Fiddle cube
Fiddles stick.
Wind up toy.

On another post someone mentioned some kind of cards which turn into mouldable plastic for fixing things. Can't remember what they are called, and I want to get some.

VanillaSugarAndChristmasSpice · 20/11/2016 20:47

What are cards against humanity?

ginorwine · 20/11/2016 20:55

Vanilla
Cards against humanity is quite an outrageous card game ! Look it up on amazon - ? It's rude and funny . 😄

Googled it and Shock - we cant play this! DS (age 9) would take it literally and then repeat the answers back at school.

bruffin · 20/11/2016 22:51

There is a card game called Sopio my dc had, which the teens were all playing at breaktime at school.
Its more suitable than CAH

The £1 tube of jelly tots or smarties.

USB stick.

Hot chocolate sachet.

Bought mine a veggie packet of Colin The Caterpillar Sweet and Sours from M&S this evening. For those interested, they did have packets of other veggie sweets.

Packet of patterned tissues. There is usually something to make them smile!

Lip balm in funny flavours.

Pringles.

pklme formcard.com/buy

Got a credit card sized multi tool thing for ds (20)
Chocolate coins - they've always had them since being small and complained the year I thought they were too old
Shower cap for dd as she showers every day but doesn't always want to wash her hair
Shower gels
Mirror compact which also charges mobile phone.

Still coming up with ideas.

shhhgobacktosleep · 21/11/2016 00:12

Ooh also got these

popaball.co.uk/

Thought they looked fun to add to drinks

pklme · 21/11/2016 06:33

Thank you thank you SHHH.
Like the look of the gin bubbles too...

woof67 · 21/11/2016 06:47

Excellent thread...!

bruffin · 21/11/2016 14:13

[[http://nakedmarshmallow.co.uk/product/gourmet-marshmallow-toasting-kits/ what about something like this marshmallow kit. You could make your own for a lot cheaper.

shhhgobacktosleep · 21/11/2016 15:55

Ooh I forgot I'd ordered 2 of those marshmallow kits too - doing better than I thought, maybe I need to write myself a list.

Dumbled · 21/11/2016 21:10

Mainly make up things!
Holographic nailvarnish
Metallic tattoos
This bag ww.notonthehighstreet.com/augustandgrace/product/metallic-make-up-bag-face-paint
Some of those new jelly soaps from Lush

CouldIHaveIt · 21/11/2016 21:18

What happened to a satsuma, a coin & some nuts in their shells?

Spoilt theses days! Hmm

...not at all placemarking 😂

bigredfireengine · 21/11/2016 21:21

Googled it and shock - we cant play this! DS (age 9) would take it literally and then repeat the answers back at school.

Try exploding kittens. You can get a basic pack for the family and add the adult expansion pack for the teens when they play alone.

Stillunexpected · 21/11/2016 21:32

Home Bargains is good for bits. They have packs of tissues for (I think) 29p with £20 or £50 notes printed on them.I usually put in

Deodorant
Shower gel
Toblerone
Tube of sweeties
Fluffy socks
Posh socks (like Jack wills or Hollister, which I buy in the sales)

This year I have also bought

Ladybird book of the cat
Luggage labels - 2 for £1.49 from Mountain Warehouse
Sugru
Post-it notes
Air freshener for DS1 car
Credit card ice scraper
LED long lights which I bought for £2 in clearance at Robert Dyas - again useful for car or finding stuff in corners!
Chocolate stirrers from Lidl or Aldi

and stuff that I can't remember. In the past I have put in mini LED bike lights, puncture repair kit, hand warmers (the microwave ones), Sharpie pen and of course a satsuma!

FeedMeAndTellMeImPretty · 22/11/2016 20:37

My boys have both requested a practice balisong (like a fake flick knife for doing ninja tricks with!).

Random but thought it might inspire someone else! Blush

I also bought them new headphones, balloon powered helicopters(!) and sometimes put a special deck of cards or a magazine to keep them busy, choc orange or Toffifee (they have only ever had them as stocking gifts so they are a true Xmas staple!) and guitar picks for the musical ones.

QuitMoaning · 22/11/2016 20:40

Some excellent ideas for my son at uni and my stepson who likes absolutely nothing and wants nothing. So difficult.

bootygirl · 22/11/2016 21:42

Well according to mine last Xmas it's not a stocking with out chocolate coins!!
I always get a comic ie batman, Costa voucher, cinema voucher a tube of fav sweets. Games voucher fluffy socks or novelty socks
DS are almost 14 & 15.5yrs

Enkopkaffetak · 22/11/2016 22:28

Keyring from superdry for ds went down well last year (he was 14 then)

A wind up radio was also a big hit.

Oh and a silly duck game for the bath.. (it had a spring board to stick on the side and then you bounced the ducks off it to get them closest to the target - was great fun cost £2 from Vilko)

I find the girls much easier than ds I will admit.

trevortrevorslatterfry · 22/11/2016 22:40

Placemarking as i am off to bed! Back tomorrow for ideas - great thread OP

Bottle opener
Shot glasses/mini spirits
are my only suggestions just now

dementedma · 22/11/2016 22:48

Love the popaballs. The girls will be getting those!
I do most of the stuff mentioned above plus knickers, lush bathbomb, miniature of booze, jokes and firecracker thingies for Ds, little torches, nail files and lip balms, hand warmers, fluffy socks, puzzles....
