Gift wrap

So who has chosen their gift wrapping theme for this year yet? Haven't decided what I fancy. Wondering about maybe just doing tartan again, or perhaps pale blue with white ribbons and playing cards for gift tags.

I'm going for a recyclable theme this year. The majority of presents will be wrapped in reusable/useful things e.g. scarves, tea towels or bags.
It won't be possible for everything, especially the (far too many) gifts for my new little Granddaughter.

*Flapjack& - Yours sound brilliant!

I haven't found anything I fancy yet. I do love brown paper, but have done it a lot. Fancy something super-pretty, especially as there are fewer presents every year, and they get smaller too!

Update! I've ordered some from Cox and Cox (I'd forgotten them!) the kraft paper with the wee snowy houses on, and have found the vintage I want (Cavallini, posho Italian sheets) and am waiting to see if the ebay seller will combine postage. If not, I'll get more Cox and Cox I think.

I love the wrapping bit so much!

Wrapping is one of my favourite Christmas jobs! I moan and whinge to my family about having to do all of it but they all know I would hurt them if they actually did any of it for me! The older 2 DC now buy and wrap some presents themselves and it's painful to watch their clumsy attempts. I now send them upstairs so I don't have to see them doing it. I hate seeing horribly wrapped presents! I don't mind if things don't match or if there's no theme, but scrunched, balled up corners, cheap torn/ripped paper, gaudy bows, not for me. That presents goes underneath the nicely wrapped ones Grin

Me too! I have been known to re-wrap my own if I'm not happy with how I did it the first time!

I inherited this from my Mum. I remember her having me holding the paper while she faffed around with pinking shears and homemade tags. Smile
