How many lights?

I have a lovely 7ft tree. How many lights do you have on your trees? I'm wondering how many I need to buy.

They say 100 per foot and a half officially.

Id go higher at 100/1ft, or even more.

We tend to do two layers of lights: white ones closer to the trunk, and coloured ones further out along the branches.

Thank you. I really like the idea of two sets of lights. Might give that a try I think.
