Long shot - boys Raleigh Tumult v Apollo Gridlock ?

Have DS who grandparents are buying bike for . Both of the above are in price range but is to be surprise for DS. Any good/bad experiences of either bike ? Stuck trying to decide.TIA

Not sure about th gridlock but we bought a smaller Apollo bike for our son this year and it's fantastic.

Thank you - just wanted to update and say. Went for the Apollo and really pleased with it.

First thoughts were, surely not a names thread!!!
