Which kindle fire?

We want to buy one for 9.5 year old dd. She's asked for an iPod but I think she'll be thrilled with a kindle fire and it does a lot more.

Confused which model to go for. Any suggestions please?

If she wants an Ipod for music then why would you buy a tablet?

I think her main priority is games which would be better on a tablet wouldn't they? We have an old iPod (dd2's which she doesn't use any more). Dd3 does use that occasionally but as she's the youngest sister I thought it would be nice for her to have something that her older sisters don't have.

Am also interested in this as I'm not sure what the difference is between the kindle fire and the kindle fire kids. Is it just the warrantee and case? And the £50 higher price tag!

I have 9 year old twins and they have Kindle fire the cheapest one 49.99 currently 47.99. They play games, you could spend all day every day downloading free games. They can watch you tube minecraft/DANTDM, take photos etc. And you can add child settings and limits. At 9.5 you don't need the kids one. But the cheaper one and get her a decent case

There is a new one which is about £80 I think. Anyone know what the difference is? And I presume you can listen to music on headphones on a kindle...?
