The ultimate hamper

I'm thinking of doing a hamper for my parents wants this year but a hamper of stuff, not food. I'm thinking of things like books, gloves, little kitchen things, garden accessories etc. Maybe I need to split it into mum hamper and dad hamper. Any ideas of cheapish items that I can bulk out with fudge etc?

Love the idea. A relative did something similar for DSis and I a few years back. It was filled with all the things we would have been buying throughout the year, things like toiletries, make up, nibbles and sweets, things related to our hobbies and interests etc. All relatively cheap bits that had been collected through the year. It was such a practical gift, and kept us away from the shops for a fair few months!

No suggestions sorry but what a lovely idea!

Scarves, socks, apron, slippers, magazines, crossword books?

I'd go with some bits and pieces that they would really like but never buy for themselves,then I'd add in some bits for any hobbies they have.

im doing stockings for my mum and dad this year, my dad is having a millennium falcon bottle opener, gloves, beanie, christmas socks, bottle of beer and a bag of choc peanuts. my mum is having Christmas socks, bag of revels, face cream, bubble bath, glass trinket box and a pair of earrings

they are having a new set of knives as a joint present

I did something like this for my dad for his birthday this year and he loved it- so much so he copied my idea for my sisters birthday. I got everything that reminded me of him- salt and shake crisps, brown sauce, ginger nut biscuits, his favourite cake, his favourite drinks from a nice brand in the old fashioned bottles, some gardening bits from Poundland, bath salts, deep heat for his back, etc.
