What is your 8yo son getting for his main present?

I'm stumped.

His big sister is getting a Kindle, and little sis will probably get a My Little Pony toy.

I don't want to get him technology. He has a scooter. He has a bike. Ummm...

Older than 8 (10 and 12) but tickets to the after hours at Harry Potter Studio Tours. Meal and butterbeer in keepsake glass and a souvenir are included. (We are going before Christmas)
Then a couple of small things to open on Christmas day.

9yo ds1 wants the new season football kit, as per every year (alternate home and away!).

We're hoping to also get him a remote control car (similar to the home alone 3 one), as he had one a few years ago which broke. Baby brother just had a little elc one for his second birthday and both ds1 and dd are going crackers for it!!

He wants his own ipad or a dog ain't gonna happen so he's getting a Teksta robotic puppy and some Pokemon bits.

DS2 has asked for a Yu-Gi-Oh, some sweets and a cuddly toy.

He is also getting some Lego, lots of books and along with DS1 a Wii U (second hand).

I'm trying to avoid more toys as he doesn't really play with them and they are destined to collect dust. A new bike is his main present from us and we'll get him some football bits too. I think he might be getting a basketball hoop from grandparents. Other than that it will be mainly board games and books. He got an archery set for his birthday which was a big hit for all of us!

Does he have/would he like a skateboard?

Actually a skateboard is a good idea.

There are millions of different ones in the shops though. Anyone know what's best to get?
