Lego Calendar = Twenty four quid
Forty little figures (essentially Lego Mini Figs) from B&M = 12 quid or two packs for twenty.
Felt calendar with pockets from Home Bargains, Poundland or similar.
Result!

A bit more expensive but I bought the Lego Santa's Workshop and divided the pieces into 24. Used a patchwork calendar made by my MIL (she filled it with dinky cars last year). Bonus with this is it can be rebuilt each year.

I split the Playmobil Nativity set each year. Love it

Wilko sell lego adverts for 5 quid. They are their own make but are compatible with proper lego.
