Penguin themed stocking - ideas please

Heavenscent86 · 03/11/2016 07:55

Last year I gave my daughters stocking contents a winter/Christmas theme. This year I'd like to do a penguin theme. So far I have:
Smarties penguin thing in a box with a colouring element
Chocolate penguin lollipop
Chocolate penguin shapes
Penguin beanie ball from the works
Has anyone seen anything that might be suitable?

How old is she?
Baker ross/yellow moon ( same company) have lots of penguin themed crafts and stationery.
Penguin socks?

Boots are giving away a free cuddly penguin with mini club orders (well they were a few days ago anyway!) Got one for my ds it's very cute.

foxessocks · 03/11/2016 08:06

That's not my penguin book? Depends how old she is though. If older then maybe a small book about penguins!

Ineedmorelemonpledge · 03/11/2016 08:24

John Lewis had some cute Penguin pjs for girls. There must be penguin tee shirts too?

Cakescakescakes · 03/11/2016 08:25

I saw some nice penguin notebooks etc today. I think Sainsbury's?

Heavenscent86 · 03/11/2016 08:27

Hi thanks for the ideas so far. She is 9 but I have a little one too so will check out boots. Also will look in Sainsbury's for these notebooks today and have a look at the other ideas. I think I remember seeing some penguin socks in Sainsbury's a couple of weeks ago.

A penguin film? Happy feet or a documentary on DVD?

RedRosie · 03/11/2016 08:47

A couple of years ago, Lakeland (I think!) had a wind-up penguin racing set (six little wind up penguins, with a fold out racing course for them). I can't tell you how much fun this was for adults and children. They were very cute. We've lost the box but I've kept the penguins.

This thread is making me wish I had themed my children's stockings! I've already started though so too late. Great idea op!

Penguin socks. Bath bomb. Pack of penguin bars?!

scrappydappydoo · 03/11/2016 08:57

Try Claire's accessories - they have some penguin keyrings, lip balm, earrings, socks etc

Heavenscent86 · 03/11/2016 10:22

Those wind up penguins look brilliant. Some great ideas here.

LED battery nightlight
I get a different shaped one of these for my lot every year.

Also have a look at this: penguin race

and of course: penguin stickers

RedRosie · 03/11/2016 11:05

They are brilliant Heaven. Their little feet flap like mad and we had such fun with them. My very elderly parents (in their 80s) got especially competitive Grin and it's a lovely memory.

Stiddleficks · 03/11/2016 11:05

Last year I got my mum penguin shaped hand warmers, I think they were in peacocks but Amazon would probably do them.

MaryDoll84 · 03/11/2016 12:53

Amazon do penguins that 'magically' grow crystals (they usually come in a tree variety) Type 'tobar crystal growing penguin' into the search engine to bring it up.Might be good for a fun novelty gift although probably a tad overpriced for what it is

MummyTheTramEngine · 03/11/2016 13:06

This is so great! I'm doing a penguin theme this year! There are loads of penguin pyjamas sets out there for girls .

Heavenscent86 · 03/11/2016 13:15

I already bought her some penguin pjs as she was desperate. Wish I'd waited now though. Does the penguin nightlight last ShowMe?

What a good idea.
All things Pingu would go down well here (mine are 5 & 7).

Ineedmorelemonpledge · 03/11/2016 13:57

I put Penguin in the search engine for Etsy and quite a few nice novelties came up op?

ShowMeTheElf · 03/11/2016 14:31

Depends what you mean by last: they usually run on button batteries (LR44) so if you buy more batteries they will keep going. It's just a cute fun thing really.

Flixy102 · 03/11/2016 14:35

Definitely a Penguin choc biscuit! Grin

Popsicle789 · 03/11/2016 15:04

Primark had penguin shaped make up sponges/blending sponges in their make up dept. They might have penguin lipsalves aswell

Birdsgottafly · 03/11/2016 15:31

The "racing game crackers", that Tesco does every year are Penguin themed.

Are you putting in gloves? Primary seemed to have a lot of penguin stuff in.

Claire's does as well.
