Apologies, this is going to be rather vague. However, I'm sure I originally heard of these dolls on Mumsnet.
They are the same sort of size as a Barbie doll, but not as plastic/fake looking. Hey come as different characters eg vet, doctor etc.
Cannot for the life of me remember the name of these, any suggestions most appreciated!
