To think that given this is a Christmas Topic we should be able to discuss Christmas whenever we like without the bloody humbug hags whinging about what month it is?

Piss off there's loads of other topic you can moan on!

OP posts:
OvO · 18/10/2016 23:01

The Christmas topic didn't used to be year round. We'd have to ask for it to be opened. Then people complained about Christmas threads being in chat or aibu or wherever and how they didn't want to even think about the C word until December.

So MNHQ decided to keep the Christmas topic open all the time. This was so people could hide the topic!

So no, people shouldn't come in here moaning about it being October. Seeing in in active is no excuse. HIDE THE TOPIC.

MNHQ made this place mainly to shut up the moaners! We get stuffed in here and not allowed out 11 months of the year just to keep the Christmas Is Only To Be Discussed In December-ers happy!

OvO · 18/10/2016 23:22

Need to add to my rant. Xmas Blush

I know new folk don't all know how to hide topics 'n' all that

BUT

If you find yourself on a perfectly nice and friendly thread that you happen not to want to discuss quite yet then the thing to do is click out of the thread.

NOT post a snide/snippy/sarcastic comment.

I have no interest in a shit load of stuff that cross up daily on MN but I don't demand no talking about it, nor do I make crappy comments.

I get a bit riled up about this as after 10 years I've read a LOT of bitching about us folk that like to chat Christmas year round. How we are doing it wrong if we need to put that much planning into it, blah blah judgy comment blah blah blah.

MrsDilligaf · 19/10/2016 07:32

I've had a christmas CD on in the car for the last month.

Michael Bublé was crooning at me at least 3 months ago while I made salt dough decorations.

I bought wrapping paper that one day it was so hot that the pavements melted

I do think there should be some kind of exam you should sit BEFORE you're allowed to post on this board y'know to keep the moaners out

Xmas Grin

Hear hear OvO!

flapjackfairy · 19/10/2016 13:15

I am in total agreementOvO. I dont get why people get so riled up about it! I have been a christmas lover my whole life and have never lost my childish excitement over it all (like many others i now realise). Surely this is to be celebrated!

flapjackfairy · 19/10/2016 13:18

Thanks AP i get it now. Always wondered what the active thingy was all about!

ThanksForAllTheFish · 19/10/2016 13:45

Oh look, a whole section dedicated to something I don't want to talk about. Maybe I should click on it just to say I don't want to read or talk about it yet and tell everyone off that actually enjoys it.

Oh and what to I type in to get the Christmas biscuit please? I know it a word in the middle of [ ] but what?

I want to give the haters a Christmas biscuit next time they come on to moan.
