I know this isn't Christmas, but you lot are good at bargain hunting...I need a black dress, and thick stripy tights. Dress needs to be a decent length, size 18 Blush preferably long sleeves
I volunteer in a nursery and the Halloween party is on one of the days I'm there.

CarrotVan · 11/10/2016 19:39

whatsername if you're thinking about the Millenium Falcon then the Book People had the Haynes manual in their clearance section for very cheap - would be a great add on to the Lego set

CarrotVan · 11/10/2016 19:42

reastie for brown paper luggage tags then eBay or Amazon - around £3 for 100

RJnomore1 · 11/10/2016 19:44

I get paid on Thursday can't wait...!

Pinkladymel · 11/10/2016 19:46

HERSPOOKY try Debenhams. Really decent 70% off sale on today (instore tomorrow) and free delivery with SH25. Failing that, Asda have their Xmas party wear on right now :D

Pinkladymel · 11/10/2016 19:49

For example HERSPOOKY
www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_103030714660_-1
This is a steal for £8.40 and the shape is very flattering.

Another idea I've just thought about for a dress is LindyBop. They've got some Halloween designs in but also have a few reduced black dresses.

HerSpookyFattyness · 11/10/2016 19:50

Thank you pink I've no money until Friday, but will mooch up to asda and see what they have over the weekend.

itsonlysubterfuge · 11/10/2016 19:51

Placemarking

HerSpookyFattyness · 11/10/2016 19:51

Oh I like that dress. I haven't worn a dress since my last pregnancy (where I put on 7 stone to become this size) so well over a year!

QOD · 11/10/2016 19:53

Stoooop with the bargains

WuTangFlan · 11/10/2016 19:53

HerSpooky - this dress is flattering and on sale.

Thingywhatsit · 11/10/2016 19:54

pinklady I can't get free delivery to work for debenhems.... Is there a minimum spend? Just found a bra for a fiver but don't want to spend anymore lol

Pinkladymel · 11/10/2016 20:00

SH2S

Sorry, I gave the wrong code earlier! 🙈 Enjoy your new bra 😀

Thingywhatsit · 11/10/2016 20:03

Thanks pink - am happy! I very rarely treat myself! No matching knickers but nevermind. A £20 bra for a fiver is good enough! And I brought the colouring book! Just wish I hadn't missed the hype bags for under £4. Asked my son about them and he said they were really good..... He was gutted I had missed the bargain of the month!

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 11/10/2016 20:05

Snooky amazing! Thank you!!

verytiredmummy1 · 11/10/2016 20:06

I need some help please!
I'm looking for:
Ideas for DSIL who likes Port. Anyone seen any bargains for miniatures or port related items?

Where do you get your baskets from if you do hampers! They're so expensive and trying to do one for my dad.

Thank you!

DH an I were discussing theses earlier. I said "don't worry I'll ask my ladies" to which he said "which ladies" and I said "the ones from the Christmas thread on mumsnet". He now thinks I'm slightly obsessed with this thread! Xx

BrollySmolly · 11/10/2016 20:10

Heymammy - I got some VR glasses too and tested them out - pretty good and will make a good, fun present!

Jet - I was in boots today and they had jack wills advent calendars and other similar ones for around £30. My 13 year old would love one, but I can't afford to get 3 expensive ones!

ThanksForAllTheFish · 11/10/2016 20:11

I've been reading along with the previous threads but not joined in yet as I've had nothing good to share.

I noticed this evening the ASDA toy sale has started. Quite a few Lego, playmobil, sylvanian families and toddler/ preschool toys in it this year.

WuTangFlan · 11/10/2016 20:14

Verytired I got a port lover some port sippers last year, they went down well - the ones I got were in the Lakeland sale but the link is pretty much the same price.

FireflyGirl · 11/10/2016 20:20

Lego Juniors race car rally down to £16.50 on Amazon, lowest ever price according to CCC.

They have lovely fluffy soft minion pyjamas for kids in Primark - roughly £8. Going to give these to DS as his xmas pjs so he won't be wearing santa ones in April!
It is worth going into Game as they have a clearance section near me and I picked up a skylanders tin with 35 cards for £2. Might go back for more as presents thinking about it!
Thanks for all the pokemkn tips, that book looks fab.

Haudyerwheesht · 11/10/2016 20:30

thanksforAllthefish thank YOU for the asda link. Got Dd a sparkle girls bus camper van thingy that she'll love.

Pengweng · 11/10/2016 20:31

Heymammy i have pmd you my boden code as i won't use it. It needs to be used by the end of Oct.

primitivemom · 11/10/2016 20:31

If you have a local tesco extra, it's worth checking the sale isle, i managed to get toot toot animals for £1.00! down from a tenner and little bits at 25p, This was tesco Glasgow, but worth a look in your local one [ smile ]

TheRealNightManager · 11/10/2016 20:31

Does anyone know if ELC will have another toy sale before Christmas? Annoyingly I've just missed out on a toy kitchen reduced from £70 to £30, grrrrr!
