Talk some sense into me!
I don't really do advent calendars for my kids - they tend to get given chocolate ones by grandma and godmothers etc.

But I've just seen the Toot Toot one and now I want it. But I have 5 kids from 15 to 2 and they don't share things. I can't buy 5 £££ calendars. What about next year? Maybe I should buy it and just open it and split between the younger two as normal presents?

Thinking of getting DS1 a beanbag chair for his room - I like this one from Cox and Cox but it's £95 and even with 20% off is £76. I want a chair type one I think and adult sized but made of denim or at least navy cotton drill. Anyone seen anything??

neddle - how about a family advent calendar that they take turns each day on? so 5 x 5 presents? ie Dec 1 - DC1 Dec 2 - DC2... or you put their names in a hat x5 and they get to draw a name out each day - and you have suitable presents x5 to give them? (obviously two on the 24th, or 3 on 23rd and a family Christmas eve hamper?)

Neddle I feel the same - I am tempted by the Lego friends calendar for 5 year old and smiggle calendars for 9 and 13 year olds, but it's really expensive and they've always been perfectly happy with the chocolate ones...

Newdad I've not taken it out of the box yet! It needs putting together, will probably do that before wrapping so it's ready for him to play with. But my boss saw the same bike in a store the other week and his 2 year old loved it! It is small, perfect toddler size.

I didn't open a credit account either. I don't think I got a confirmation, just the acknowledgement. It only took a few days to arrive, I think I ordered it last Thursday and it arrived by Saturday.

Dd has Blu Blu the dolphin - it doesn't really do much. Snores, sucks its dummy and makes munching noises. However Dd (6) loves it, so in the respect it was worth it. She asked for it for months and was delighted when she got it.
