Fabulous thread, thank you!

Does anyone know the best place to buy empty jam jars? Bought lots of red onions in Aldi's super 6 this week so am planning onion chutney presents this year.

iloveholidays · 02/10/2016 15:10

Not a bargain at £24.95 but I'm very excited :)

BrollySmolly · 02/10/2016 15:15

What is the Boden code please?

mrslebon · 02/10/2016 15:28

@BrollySmolly - 6E7E

Balletgirlmum · 02/10/2016 15:43

Thank you for the butts bees code. I'd been on the verge of ordering the spring set but with the extra discount it's a real bargain.

MaryJPoppins · 02/10/2016 15:46

BUZZING if you can be bothered the cheapest way for jars is to buy the budget supermarket condiments. I speak from experience having to empty out 50 jars of mint sauce for my brownie group! But at 27p each it was worth it Grin(Asda)

AdmiralCLingus · 02/10/2016 15:49

I have a playmobil 20% birthday voucher that we won't use. Single use so pm if anyone wants it. Has to be used through the plqymobil website

buzzing · 02/10/2016 16:18

Ha! Yes, it's ridiculous that jam jars are cheapest already filled. I normally reuse for things I make just for us, but I would like new as they are presents.

LittleReindeerwithcloggson · 02/10/2016 16:19

What was the baby doll someone recommended on an earlier thread? Looking for a cheaper alternative to baby born /annabelle

Whatsername17 · 02/10/2016 16:25

I found the secret diary visual on amazon for £29.99 with free delivery. Not quite as cheap as argos but as it's not in stock it's still a good saving.

VinoTime · 02/10/2016 16:40

Not necessarily bargains but I thought these looked very sweet!

Fairy wish jar £7.20.

Fairy dust pendant £1.97 with free p+p.

Fairies meeting place hanging wooden sign £2.71 with free p+p . Go to the other sellers on the right hand side - sold by Bargains 4 Ever.

I believe in fairies handing wooden sign £3.15 with free p+p - look through the other sellers.

CarrotVan · 02/10/2016 16:45

We've had them from Lakeland before buzzing. If you're doing big jars then Sainsbury's had a third off proper Kilner jars this week

Whatsername17 · 02/10/2016 16:52

I've decided I'm going to make dh and dd a giant selection box this year. Like the one in the picture. It is ridiculously gratuitous but their faces will be a sight to behold! It will literally be enough chocolate to last us for a year! I'm going to buy the chocolate when it's on offer too.

Reastie my darling daughter loved my confusion regarding Santa's giant gob, too! She's hit that smart arse stage and takes a little too much delight in 'explaining' things to me...

rogl · 02/10/2016 17:13

I've been recommended this link, it's a certificate of things that happened and n a specific date e.g. Birthday/ anniversary. Thought it would be a good idea for people who are difficult to buy for.. also the more you buy the cheaper they get:

pantherfootballforever · 02/10/2016 17:36

Has anyone seen any offers on Yoyo Panda Petz??? They are pretty expensive for what they are but seem to be pretty much the same price everywhere. (About £50) I've CCC'd them but I don't want to hold out too long as if I can't get it I need to come up with a back-up. Budget is £35.

ipswichwitch · 02/10/2016 17:36

pantherfootballforever · 02/10/2016 17:48

Oh my goodness Whatshername that is amazing!!!! I want one!!!

monkeyfacegrace · 02/10/2016 17:55

Grrr mass confusion in the MGF household.

I now have 2 lego sets winging their way way me: I ordered Big Ben and DH ordered London Bridge!

I can't afford almost £400 of lego Blush

Does anyone want one before I send one back? I'm thinking of keeping Big Ben so tower bridge is up for grabs. I think he paid £175 for it.
