My metal bookmarks arrived okay, some suppliers took a lot longer than others, I may have ordered one box of every kind a few, they are super cute.

EmGee · 30/09/2016 22:18

The Boden code doesn't work - can I check it: 6E7Eo

imsorryiasked · 30/09/2016 22:20

BeBesideTheSea Not quite Robert size but how about this one?

Dragon

Wonderland2016 · 30/09/2016 22:21

Thanks so much for the l'occitane info! A great tip (and reason to buy myself the beautiful advent calendar).
First off you can get 5% cashback through quidco- assuming that still works through all the extra codes used!
Advent calendar is £42, code BASKET gets you a basket with 6 items inside for an extra £15, (although worth £31) which is perfect as then the spend is enough to use the code AVC97 which gets you a free (worth £20) washbag with 5 items inside.
Not only that but you also get 2 free samples, free gift bag and free delivery.
Fantastic! 3 Teacher pressies sorted as am going to split the collections and lovely advent for me!

iloveholidays · 30/09/2016 22:36

Can I ask what the metal bookmarks are please? I've missed that one. Thank you

Chocolatecake12 · 30/09/2016 22:37

Sorry if I've missed it but does anyone know the dates of the sainsburys half price toy sale? It's usually around the end of October.......

itmustbemyage · 30/09/2016 22:49

Iloveholidays
They are on Amazon, sorry can't link, just search on metal bookmarks . They come in a round cardboard box of 20 for about £1.20 to £1.80 per box regular price, not sale price, ( suppliers from China so take a few weeks to arrive) lots of different themes. Look a bit like fancy paper clips they would hold a couple of pages together, but they are meant for marking your page in books . I'm going to keep some, I read a lot, and gift the others with books as presents.

ZIGGY911 · 30/09/2016 23:00

Ive just found the metal bookmarks on aliexpress for $1.55. the pretty ones I wanted off Amazon were £2.99. they look so cute.

monkeyfacegrace · 30/09/2016 23:08

Snooky17 · 30/09/2016 23:08

StubbleTurnips · 30/09/2016 23:10

DH has this evening ordered the Lego train as his 'bonus' treat as a VIP Lego member. He is ridiculously excited.

Lynca · 30/09/2016 23:11

Chocolatecake12 I saw a post today on Hot UK Deals that the Sainsbury toy event is 19th-25th October, confirmed by a few people.

WhatWouldFlopDo · 30/09/2016 23:12

The Entertainer have some flashlight friends for £5, paw patrol digital watches for £2.40 and Disney aluminium drinks bottles for £2.50. Lots of other things on there too.

Lynca · 30/09/2016 23:12

X post Snooky

Snooky17 · 30/09/2016 23:17

That must be where I read it Lynca its earlier this year I think

LavateLasManos · 30/09/2016 23:39

I've also seen that the Sainsbury's toy sale starts the 19th October, it's usually in the Autumn half term but my school is having their half term a lot later this year (not sure if this is just local or all over. We break up for half term on the 28th October which means our Christmas break begins 23rd DecSad)

landwhale · 01/10/2016 02:18

Haven't had a chance to go through the threads at all this year, so sorry if this has been posted...

OvO · 01/10/2016 03:18

I'm finding none of the cheap stuff from amazon is arriving but everything from China I've bought on eBay has arrived.

Those metal bookmarks are 99p for all the different designs, on eBay. Took only 10 days to arrive.

Wormwoodm · 01/10/2016 06:57

Sainsburys toy sale will be in a few weeks but they already have some toys half price at the end of the aisle. I got my daughter the barbie with dancing horse for £25 from £50 and my son a big hot wheels set for the same price. They also had some cheap shopkins bits and all the Star Wars bags, wallets, money boxes very cheap.

Gooseysgirl · 01/10/2016 06:58

Hi all, I'm looking for advice re photo calendars! Best time to buy from a bargain point of view? Albelli have been recommended on here in the past but at the moment photo calendars are £11.99 Shock

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 01/10/2016 07:03

For people who have ordered stuff from China on Amazon, when it doesn't arrive Angry, what does your order status say? I ordered a poo cushion in August and it says it's been dispatched, but it's over a week past the latest delivery estimate now. I've messaged the seller but no reply. Not sure whether I should order again elsewhere, or whether the 'dispatched' status should give me hope?!

MayorOfWhere · 01/10/2016 07:20

Sorry if this has already been posted but Poundstretchers have some Christmas PJs in. I got some lovely brushed cotton ones in 18-24 months for £3.99.

Whilst I'm posting, has anyone seen bargain gifts suitable for older ladies that you don't know that well? I'm a bit stuck for Dh's aunts, usually get them a candle or something but I'd like to mix it up a bit.

Thanks for the great threads, will go back and read a bit now.

LikeSilver · 01/10/2016 07:26

Not a bargain at £29.99 but I ordered one for DH anyway - in case anyone else would like it The Bearded Man Co advent calendar

BeBesideTheSea · 01/10/2016 07:30

That is an awesome dragon imsorry but I think it was the soft squidgyness he liked.

Might need to think about other animals ...
