normally by now i am at least half way through my christmas shopping. this time last year i was, and that was with a wedding to organise and an almost full time job. this year, not so much. no wedding to plan, i stopped working three weeks ago, and what have i done so far?

well i have saved up £350 towards getting laptops for the three youngest, ordered 2 dvd's for the girls, worked out what i am buying ds1 and bought 'the gruffalo' and 'the gruffalo's child' books for dgs, a unicorn hot water bottle and some glitter tattoo's for dd1, a book for ds2 and glitter tattoo's, colour changing nail varnish and a cuddly pug for dd2. oh and got festive lip balms and a bath bomb making set each for the dd's.

not doing so well. i know what i am getting mil, but thats about it.

argh

You are doing much better than me! I have bought some wrapping paper (bargain from Waterstones) and started on a list...

Rather annoyingly my family like to provide me with lists for them but won't contemplate doing so before the end of November

I've done nothing. But it's a quiet Xmas for us this year I think. Just DH, ds(15) and me for Xmas. We are going away for new year.

I have 9 nieces and nephews but am not sure what to do this year. Maybe just cash. Not even sure I will see them.

It feels most odd not to have a huge list!

We've decided what to get the children. That's about it. We only buy for the family children anyway. No adults to worry about.

i have now got a bit more, i got a set of my little pony books and a dressing gown for dd1

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I shall present my parents with their new grandson with a flourish and a sense of finality.

Well done, you've done tonnes!

Famalam13 · 29/09/2016 08:23

DS' main present and DCats' present ordered!

I have got my mum a handbag and earrings. I have said we won't to the adults this year (my siblings - dh doesn't bother with his nor them)

In laws - we always to a hamper nearer the time with good whiskey, tea. Coffee toiletries.

I have my nieces and nephews done on three for two at Argos. My own ride on toys I got in the sale half price.

Dh - I will get clothes but I need to sort what he needs - maybe a gap voucher for new jeans

I have six other small gifts to get for children. Three nursery workers. Few little things for work staff.

Well on my way anyway
