What sort of ideas? As a guest? As a bride? On actual Christmas day?

Anything where do I start

Are you planning the wedding or going to the wedding?

If planning:
Have you set the date? Is it on Christmas day (is that even legal) or just around Christmas? Before or after?
What kind of venue and what kind of feel are you going for? Vintage glam? Shabby chic? Hygge and cosy? Kitsh? Or just a normal wedding with a wee nod to the season?

I'd suggest having shawls for the bmaids and yourself, maybe some of those handwarmers stocked somewhere handy to warm up. If you're planning on stopping for some outside pics for a while then you might appreciate a thermos flask with something hot in. Maybe gift the groomsmen hipflasks and a bottle of decent whiskey.
Have a pair of nice wellies for the bridal party on hand just in case. It could result in great photos or you might just all end up with nice new wellies!

Mulled wine and mince pies as welcome drinks. Are you doing favours? A pretty bauble could be a lovely idea or naff, depending on you and your guests.

If you're asking as a guest - pretty dress, warm coat, sensible shoes with the option to change into dressier ones once you're inside. Gloves. Do not use christmas wrapping paper to wrap the wedding present. Depending on whether the wedding is before or after Christmas day a 'our first Christmas as Mr & Mrs' personalised gift could be really sweet.

We're getting married December 18th this year, here's a few of the bits we've got -

• Mulled wine on arrival
• Wedding breakfast is full Christmas dinner
• Mince pies with coffee after meal
• Guestbook - we are having a Christmas tree, and a table next to it with lots of bauble shapes made of MDF (you can get these cheap on eBay) and Sharpies. People sign the bauble and hang it on the tree - that way we can use our guestbook year after year to remember the wedding.
• Christmas props in the photbooth
• Centerpieces have holly in them (DD's name is Welsh for holly so it's a big part of our wedding)
• Festive buttonholes for the groom, best man and ushers (Etsy)
• Pashminas for my bridesmaid and I. DD (flower girl) has a little fluffy bolero thing.
• Rather than the traditional white wedding postbox for cards, we're having a conventional red one with snow and a robin on top :)
• For guests to go outside to smoke/fresh air, we've bought cheap red and cream fleeces from Wilko (£3 each), tied them with some blue organza ribbon and attached a little handmade sign saying "To have and to hold in case you get cold", if guests want to keep these that's fine but if they give them back we're going to give them a good wash and donate them to our local homelessness charity.
• Christmas crackers on the table during the meal
• Lots of candles, very wintery feel.

And the venue will be all decorated for Christmas with a massive Christmas tree.

I had a Christmas wedding!
Off the top of my head we had a Christmas tree, candles as centrepieces, mulled wine and hot chocolate after the service, mince pies and stollen canapés, crackers on the table, mistletoe for photos, quality street and roses tins (twee but cute) on the tables as 'after dinner mints'.... Can't think just now but it was so Christmassy and so lovely! Also we had a Christmas dinner as the meal.

If in the early stages I'd suggest Lapland Saariselka - Google Santas Resort klattsklutten - glass igloos etc it's amazing!!!

If here for suggest not too close to Xmas and give save dates early - everyone so busy before Xmas and most people don't have to X of spare cash
