action camera recommendations

Hi,
Both dc's have fallen for the clever marketing of the vtech action cam and want one for Christmas.
Now even though it has good reviews it doesn't look like you get much for your money technical wise. Plus Dc are 8 and nearly 10 I think they may be a bit babyish for them?
There are so many different action cameras on the market, has anyone got one and can recommend?
Don't really want to spend more than £50 on one. Thanks

Fab one in Argos by Vivitar at just £50. Getting it for DD who is almost 10 for her birthday. I started a thread on here like yours and this is what was recommended.
