It won't be much - I might need to buy green wool but I might have some and then it's just postage. I'll finish my dragon then see what I can do. If you don't like it when I post photos just say and I'll keep it for dd2

99percentchocolate · 12/09/2016 20:26

Rubyslippers, I do the advent books every year and they are fab - DD loves it every year.

mummy23xmaspuddings · 12/09/2016 20:31

Wondering if anyone can recommend any science sets they have got for their children?

If anyone sees any deals on them please can you let me know :-)

ThomasRichard · 12/09/2016 20:35

mummy23 I bought a Snap Circuits set for my 5yo DS last year and he loves it. It's a quality piece of kit too.

coragreta · 12/09/2016 20:55

I'm making a purple themed stocking anyone got any ideas for things to fill it with.

ThomasRichard · 12/09/2016 21:04

Who's it for?

disneyprincesswannabe · 12/09/2016 21:05

For homemade advent calendar inspiration, you could always use these with foam numbers on like these and hang on a small cheap tree as pp suggested. Would like really pretty

GlowWine · 12/09/2016 21:06

Sorry I'm a bit late here but for home made advent calendars I can recommend strings of wooden pegs, I now have two pretty sets from dotcom giftshop: www.dotcomgiftshop.com/christmas-tree-advent-string?ptid=%2C5280&ctid=5215&pos=9&ll=catprod
They're still at their reduced price £4.95

Those are full-size pegs and I hang small parcels or single sweets. I also own numbered small pegs (loose, not strung) from Tiger, I think they sell them every Christmas, and were £1(or was it £2?) for a set of 24.

Place marking. I keep losing this thread 😊

We've got this one, it's fantastic. Really well made and has cards with good experiments - things you can actually do in your kitchen. www.brightminds.co.uk/primary-science-lab-set/p955

I'm looking for a small white toy box for DS for Christmas, but they seem to be a bit pricey most places. Does anyone know where I can find an affordable one?

winewolfhowls · 12/09/2016 21:41

Ikea had packs of nice, about the size of my hand, paper bags with Christmas designs on them last year. Might go well with someone's advert calendar pegs? Were very cheap

SheStoodInTheStorm · 12/09/2016 21:45

Making - try TK Maxx.

HavingAnOffDAy · 12/09/2016 21:55

Totally place marking. I seem to have missed thread 4 too...lots of catching up to do!

HavingAnOffDAy · 12/09/2016 21:58

Makin I got a couple for DC in Argos

SnowBodyforrrrm · 12/09/2016 22:01

Achica have a good sale on today called gifts for all the family. They have some quirky fun bits in the sale particularly towards the end. Lots of fun Suck UK bits. They're nice unusual gifts for teens/adults. Their Christmas shop is also open 🎉 And they have a heaven sends Christmas sale on today too.

If you haven't used achica before and use this link, we get £20 to share if you place an order achica

Delivery estimates are given for each sale as they only place the order with the supplier when the sale ends.

TipBoov · 12/09/2016 22:02

mummy I bought the one flipflops linked to, but it was only £9.99 on a lightening deal for prime week on Amazon, so worth keeping an eye out for.

mummy23xmaspuddings · 12/09/2016 22:05

Intheseflipflops That looks fantastic thank you

I have a Boden code if anyone wants it. I'm not going to use it so want someone else to enjoy it! it's £10 off a £30 spend. It's X0M5UN16CHV6. It's expires on 16/09/16. Hope someone enjoys it!

Shine0n · 12/09/2016 22:48

Thanks for the bargains :) Have ordered lots of stocking fillers from this thread over the last few days including Big Bang T-shirt, metal bookmarks, the cheap Unicorn sticker pack and washi tapes for not much money at all Grin

GardenWorm · 12/09/2016 23:07

Tesco are apparently (HUKD) doing the tubs of roses, quality st etc at 2 for £7 from 14th Sep. Can never have too many stashed away ready to eat in October
