They don't have to honour it. Legally putting something on sale is an invitation to treat.

When we place an order we are making an offer to buy the item, it is up to the seller to them accept or reject our offer. For there to be a legal contract you need to have offer and acceptance. So no, we won't be getting our blenders! 😥

SolomanDaisy · 10/09/2016 11:37

Their email actually states that it's not a contract until you get the despatched notice. I think given that probably 100s of people have ordered up to four each there's no way they'll honour it. These things sometimes sneak through if it's a few people ordering one each, but this has no chance!

confuugled1 · 10/09/2016 11:43

I also ordered 3 blenders having missed the post about it last night - managed to just get the order in this morning.

Then remembered advice from ??? that if you see a bargain like this, it's often better to pay for the express delivery option if there is one, as there's more chance of them processing it quickly before they realise there's a problem. So went back to change the delivery or re-order with fast delivery - only to see that there was a 14 day delivery estimate on the order form with no express option. Not sure if that was the same when I first ordered or not.

Who knows if we'll get our blenders - but thought this might be a useful bit of strategy to keep in mind in case you spot a mega bargain again Xmas Grin I know it seems wrong to willingly pay £5+ for postage when you could get free delivery - but figure it's worth it if it means you get your blenders or whatever you happen upon!

BocolateChiscuit · 10/09/2016 11:44

Some people on HUKD are saying they ordered up to 32! Shock No way we'll get them. Never mind-we had cornerstone! Grin

SolomanDaisy · 10/09/2016 11:51

They might send us vouchers for goodwill. I got a £10 Amazon voucher recently when they cancelled an order due to a pricing error.

Neddle · 10/09/2016 11:53

Thanks for using my iwoot link, much appreciated.

I was scrolling through facebook and a video about these magnetic shoelaces
They look really fun and useful, but I need to figure out which of my kids might use them and what colours to get.

RJ they are addictive I must have at least 30 tshirts from there! At least 8 of those feature totoro! Good job they have a loyalty scheme, wearing my free one today (star trek)

Neddle · 10/09/2016 12:15

Slightly weird, but I was looking on Amazon for a talking pink dinosaur as someone asked on another thread.
These flamingo lights came up as the first match Hmm and I know there was a lot of flamingo talk a few days ago.
I remember seeing that the Range had a poster too - stationery maybe?

confuugled1 · 10/09/2016 12:23

If anyone wants a load of spring bulbs cheaply, (425 for a tenner, includes a fiver postage) Money Saving Expert have done a deal with Thompson and Morgan - saves about £40. Bulbs deal details

They also have a perennial collection of 72 plants for a tenner.

And if any of you have relatives or friends or indeed you are yourselves members of Inner Wheel (the ladies branch of Rotary) then they also had an Inner Wheel rose - £10 for one or £20 for 2. I've just ordered one for my mum's birthday present - should get me big 'thoughtful' brownie points, even though it's fluke I happened to see it at the top of their list of roses (all named, often useful if you can find a connection to make it a relevant present!).

Oh and I've just remembered that somebody asked about someone looking for Beano things at the end of the last thread.

That was me - thank you for remembering and pointing me to the Beano postcards at The Book People. I've already got them - they were also on offer at some point during the year so they're already stashed ready for Christmas!

But yes - if anybody else spots any good Beano things, please do shout! Xmas Grin

EnglishRose1320 · 10/09/2016 12:39

My son had these beano paper planes given to him once, he really enjoyed them, this seller is selling them with a beano joke thing as . beano paper planes

Neddle · 10/09/2016 12:41

I ordered a couple of these sandwich cutters a week ago. We've had a dinosaur one for years, and now I have a second child at preschool I thought to look for some more.
This one is an elephant and I also ordered a dolphin one. There's hearts, butterfly, jigsaw and trains too.
Useful for persuading reluctant eaters and removes the crusts easily too.

Neddle · 10/09/2016 12:44

Talking of paper aeroplanes: my eldest son bought this Usborne book some years ago with some prize money and he loved it. The pages pull out and then you fold them into the planes. I think there were three different styles of folding and lots of different patterns.

Nickdrake I would love the Mothercare code if it's still available? Thank you

Chocolateteabag · 10/09/2016 12:49

Shopping - present for a couple for £20 - depending on their tastes of course but I'd love any of the following as would DH

Bottle of champagne - you should manage a decent one with an offer
Box of Hotel Chocolat chocs (or Charbonnel et Walker)
Bottle of decent oil/vinegar - something from Carluccios or similar

Do any of them help?

Dogmatix I would love the Boden code if still available - was just about to buy DD a winter coat!

Catanddogmake6 · 10/09/2016 13:45

Thanks no cuts she has the DC superhero dolls on her list already. Am looking out for a good offer on them. Will have a good look at the books and stuff and see. Hadn't seen much about them.

I also wondered about the original graphic novels but I think some are quite dark and probably too old. I think I have a steep learning curve coming about DC comics.
