They've already got some of the Christmas Special type magazines in WH Smiths - the sort that usually come out in October to help you plan better...

Online, I've already spotted the Christmas shop pages/sections for Boots, Superdrug, Tesco, John Lewis

Argos still has 'christmas pages are closed' sign up for now

Have you discovered the MN Christmas bargain threads yet? They've been going strong for a while already this year - almost on to number 5 Xmas Grin They're in the Christmas section if you haven't found them - well worth checking out - so far I've spent £25 on presents that would have been £95 if I'd bought them full price...

The works has Christmas craft bits in

MerlinsScarf · 01/09/2016 20:13

I've already picked up a few Christmas bits elsewhere but hadn't seen the Laura Ashley Christmas Shop yet. Delightful! Would it be terrible if I bought myself a nice, motivational gift set?

TheBriscoesLady · 03/09/2016 00:03

The John Lewis on Oxford Street has its 'teaser' Christmas store in - full store opening on 22 September. Was kind of uninspiring which was disappointing - a lot of 'London' touristy style decorations. Still, any port in a storm, right?

A1Sharon · 03/09/2016 19:08

Quite a bit on the John Lewis website, just search Christmas in the search box.

Christmas puds and stollen spotted today :)

BiddyPop · 08/09/2016 10:20

The Art and Hobby shop over here tends to have Christmas items most of the year - because if you are a crafter for Christmas, you probably are making things a lot earlier than if you were buying them.

The Christmas Shop in Brown Thomas (our luxury Dept store) was open last week, but hadn't been 10 days before. I did hear grumbles. But I longed for some of the lights! (They used to open that section in late July, last year it was mid August so it is slipping back again in line with "Christmas creep" grumbling - but I think it's nice).

The National Museum and the 2 major Irish crafts stores near Trinity College (selling things like Newbridge Silver and Waterford crystal to lots of US visitors in particular) have Christmas items mixed in with their general stock all year as well, but they do get a lot more festive in autumn (well the 2 stores do, I think the museum keeps to just a handful of nice things that are quite different).

Otherwise, not a lot to see here yet....Xmas Sad...there's less than 4 months to go, how are we going to be ready in time...don't panic MNers, don't panic....

TheBriscoesLady · 13/09/2016 12:50

Does anyone know if Costco have their wrapping paper in yet? Don't want to waste 40 minutes trekking to my nearest one if I don't need to!

Davros · 17/09/2016 00:19

Liberty opened its Xmas shop a week or so ago. I will have to avoid as I like to wait until nearer Xmas but it will be hard. I had my eye on a robin last year and took too long to decide ....

Viiolettheorgangrinder · 17/09/2016 07:27

Marks and Spencer have cards,wrapping paper,candles,pot pourri,room spray,games :)

wannabestressfree · 17/09/2016 07:33

I love the all year round Christmas shops in Brugge..... There is something about the lights etc that make me feel happy :)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/09/2016 21:54

Nothing in Costco yesterday (Fri 16th) but they had Hallowe'en figures, lights, sweets, and gloves/mittens/winter coats.

M&S had an aisle of cards, wrapping paper, couple of baubles and some candles (I like the "Winter" one, not keen on the Cinnamon,Orange and Clove one though)
There were some really cute cards Xmas Grin and I loved the deer print and tree print papers

Wayfarersonbaby · 17/09/2016 22:15

I was in a National Trust shop last weekend and loads of Christmas stuff in there already - esp. cards, food and sweets :)
