Anyone spot any lego set deals?
I'm specifically looking for sets for an 6 upwards ds but any lego bargain would be good I think as it's usually so blooming expensive!

I haven't seen any yet but also on the look out!

Missgraeme · 12/08/2016 09:54

We got loads of complete sets easy passed for new off ebay last Xmas!

Sainsburys have 25% off a lot of Lego at no, some 1/3 and few bits were half price,

Amazon often have 20-30% off Lego city

We buy most of our Lego from Amazon or john lewis as john lewis price match they are cheapest and tend to drop prices v quickly to match others offer offers.

Last year we brought loads figures marvel n star wars for 49-99p each off aliexpress and popped in ds1 stocking. Ds1 is 6 in couple weeks and !loves Lego.

FusionChefGeoff · 18/08/2016 14:04

I'm in the lookout too - DS (4) has got very into Lego so I think I'll do a few of small Juniors sets that I'll bundle up to form his 'big' present.

Love the idea of eBay and also people in the stocking.

drspouse · 18/08/2016 14:20

I'm hoping we can get "proper" Lego for DS for Christmas (DD is in a chewing phase at the moment so we've stuck to Duplo), I'll probably try and get a used bundle on Ebay but I'm also following for cheaper Juniors kits as they do seem pricey for what they are but would be just his level.

Keep an eye on the sale shelf in your local Asda. I've dug out a few £25-30 sets for around £5.

CandODad · 18/08/2016 21:13

Best bet is the 3 for 2 Argos deal. We buy the expensive sets that way.

NapQueen · 18/08/2016 21:15

Another one waiting for the argos 3 for 2. I'm getting dd the arundel celebration set and belles castle

SansaClegane · 18/08/2016 21:32

We have a Smyths store nearby, and they often have some sets reduced by quite a bit - got a £25 set for £18!
Another good place is the actual Lego shop when they have a sale on; I have found some dramatically reduced sets there. I think you have to get in there quite early though as otherwise they sell out quickly.

ijustwannadance · 18/08/2016 22:02

Belle's castle was on offer for £36 on Amazon a few weeks ago.
Sometimes the argos 3 for 2 deal doesn't work out the cheapest option unless all 3 sets are similar priced.
Amazon price drop by 3rd to match offer.
Smyths also do 20% off weekends around november and regularly do £6 of £20 spend.

debbiewest0 · 18/08/2016 22:13

Don't forget Argos will price match amazons price when it's their 3for2 as well so you can get a bargain. Has to be an item that could be delivered same day on Amazon price though.

ijustwannadance · 18/08/2016 22:39

I think Smyths price match too.

CandODad · 19/08/2016 17:44

Just found this in our local Sainsbury's for £12.50.

CotswoldStrife · 19/08/2016 18:07

Tesco have a bit of money off Lego sets in store at the moment.

Oh2beatsea · 20/08/2016 09:01

mollyscarlettmum · 20/08/2016 09:04

Smyths are having a quick LEGO sale:

www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/page/o/lego-promotion/

20% off selected sets. Lots of Ninjago including the fabulous Temple of Airjitzu.
