Disney on ice, is it worth it? £165 for four [shock]

Just wondering if its thats great and I would be seeing it in the 02...can we even see whats going on?

Is it worth it? I have always fancied taking them, 4 and 9

We took DD for her birthday a couple of years ago. We were way way up in air in the cheap seats but you can still see. She loved it.

We took DD1 when she was 4 and she loved it. I loved it too.

Now we are taking both DDs for DD2's 4th birthday and I am really excited.

The tickets do add up, but ready yourself for the amount of overpriced stuff they try to sell you in the place. IIRC it was £10 for a small Disney cup with slush puppy type ice in it. Ridiculous for what it was. Everything was overpriced.

yep took DD when she was 3 and we both loved it!

God yes buy some cheap crap from outside the venue for a fraction on the price inside. We got a light spinner outside for £4 and the same ones were about £12 inside and the one that made me Shock was popcorn in a plastic bag with Olafs face for £7!!!

Yup we went to Cardiff in May and it was great I think we were £30 each but were 5th row in a small venue so views were great. They did an abridged version of frozen along with Peter Pan little mermaid and others think the one at Christmas is all frozen which I expect will be great

Also going to suggest you buy a load of Disney stuff beforehand so you don't have to by all the ££££ stuff inside.

We have been five or six times over the years. The last show we went to was an exact repeat of one of the first ones we saw (but it had a different name and was marketed differently). I was so cross about that we probably won't go again. Most of the shows we went to were at the 02, it doesn't really matter where you sit as the view is good. The only thing I would say is last time we were sitting right on the aisle. They let people in throughout the whole show no matter how late they are so for the first solid hour there was a steady stream of people walking down the aisle next to us which blocked our view.

And as others have said the merchandise is £££. We have built up a pretty good collection of Disney cups now though from the ridiculously priced slush things. If you are going to buy one of these take an empty plastic bag to bring it home with you.

Saw it in Birmingham. We the adults thought it was very good & so did the 6yr old, however the 8 & 9 yr olds said it was boring. As mentioned previously get your magic wands etc outside. The outside stalls are around 50% cheaper.

We saw it in Birmingham too. It was a birthday treat for DD who was turning 6. She was a bit bored by it. 3.5yo DS was mesmerised by it.

We saw it at Wembley. I knew my 7 and 5 year old would love it and they did. What surprised me is that I really enjoyed it too. It is a very good show. Not something you want to do lots but as a special treat it was great. We got our light up snowflakes outside for about £5 each. They were over £20 inside in the official shop!

thanks lindy, we have never done anything else dinsy related so praying its good, xmas eve is always flat for us.
however we can do the musuems near by if they are open.

We've been three times in Birmingham and have booked again for Autumn this year. I don't think it was that expensive, but it's probably dearer at the O2.
Take your own snacks and drinks, if you can!

Amazon local do cheaper tickets for good seats. I usually pay about £20 - £25 each.

Everybody has an OK view in theory, but my small dd has the misfortune of sitting next to an enormous idot who held up two phones in front her to film the whole thing.
Don't buy the popcorn or slush, £10 a go.

This year will be the third time we have gone but it's great and my nearly 4 year old loves it. I haven't sat higher than the mid height section but the way it's laid out you get some good view wherever you sit. It is very expensive once you get in (£22 for elsa wand, £8 popcorn, £8ish slushy plus other things on sale) before the show and in the interim they also walk round the aisles with popcorn and ice creams so its really unavoidable. I do budget extra for this though. All the kids dress up which is lovely and there's lots of restaurants in the o2. It is very cold in the o2, no heating, so I just make sure I put extra vests underneath
