  1. when do I taker it out of the freezer? it's 3.6KG - how long will it need to defrost? (I've only brought one frozen b4 4 years ago, and that one was left in the garage from when we brought it on the 23rd ish. last year's was fresh on xmas eve.)
  2. where should I put it? as I say normally it goes in the garage but we don't have one here - should it go in the fridge or will it not defrost in time/I don't want it to turn and us get food poisioning or something silly.
  3. roughly how long will that one take to cook?

(I know i've done turkey b4 but this year J will be eating it as well - when it's just DH and I it's not so bad if dinners when it's ready (as normal! lol) also I want to make sure there's no chance it won't be cooked properly or defrosted properly with J having some)

going to try the stuffing over the breast and bacon on top of that as apparently that's nice??

so any tips i'll really appriciate! lol.

I'd take it out of the oven on Christmas Eve morning and leave it to defrost for 24 hours.

You could plonk it in the bath out of the way!

I would think it will take about 3-3.5hours to cook!

Just google for turkey cooking times and you get loads of advice!!!

right so they recon about 14 hours in a cool room - so I could take it out of the freezer on xmas morning and leave it in the utility room? and will take 3 hours 2 mins - should I add an extra half hour on for good measure or will that not be needed? if we're having dinner for 12.30-1 it will need to go on for about 9-9.30 then? does that sound about right?

thanks for the link. didn't know taking the giblets out would speed up the defrosing either. lol.
