and it was really lovely. Never been to one before.
When we got there the girls (went with one of Mollie's school friends and her mum) chose their parts. they both chose to be shepherds. They got their outfits on and went in to see the animals - there were lambs to hold and stroke, a cow to see and a donkey to stroke.
The children all then took part as the nativity was narrated. The shepherds took their lambs, including a real one, to baby Jesus. We sang carols throughout. Was really nice to watch and Mollie loved being a part of it.
Afterwards there was more chances to meet the animals and to have a donkey ride. We then went for refreshments (tea, mulled wine or juice and mince pies) before a trip to see Father Christmas. The Father Christmas was really good. He spent quite a while with each child individually and had a proper chat with them
Was freezing cold in the barn, but worth it!
