I was watching Sherlock last night and realised that the BBC have dropped their Christmas ident and are back to normal. The end of Christmas is nigh.

It's ridiculous isn't it! A Sherlock Christmas special, compete with snow and characters wishing each other the compliments of the season, and ordinary boring BBC idents at the beginning and end! Personally I think they'd have been better off showing Sherlock on Boxing Day, ditto Billionaire Boy that was on earlier in the evening. Both were too Christmassy for NYD and felt a bit 'tacked on' to the end of the Christmas programming, as if they were shoved there because the BBC couldn't find another slot for them.

The news channel still has its tree up though and it's Christmas in this house til twelfth night so there!

And the lights are off on Oxford Street. I know they should be, but they look sad as they are still up, just not illuminated.
