Every year DH messes up and I find out what he's bought me. This year was looking good as I knew he'd bought something, he hadn't left receipts around or in his pockets but...

post comes yesterday with a letter from the place he's bought it from addressed to ME - DH has obviously forgotten the account with this place is in MY name.

arghghg, are you menfolk the same????

Yes. I knew what dh was getting me this year as he asked me what he should get but he assures me he also has a surpise

Tuesday he came rushing in from work with the bags, gushing "Way Hay, I need some sellotape to wrap some pressies"!!

Then he left them lying out on the bed, so I had to shut my eyes so I get a surprise on Christmas Day!

Now he is at work and has left my presents (still unwrapped) in his gym bag (you would think by now I would have actually looked, I haven't)

I Wanna Surpise [frgin]

sweetie, its better than getting a "surprise" copy of the Oxford english dictionary. see the bad presents thread.

tbh it sounds unlucky. He's tried! He's not left it to the last minute and bought you something rubbish.

It's still a surprise, just you found out a little earlier than you would have done.

I have had to give dh a list, so no surprises for me. Although given he has yet to enter a shop, my surprise might be that he hasn't got me anything...

He's great with my birthday, bizarrely, he just doesn't seem to do Christmas particularly well.

actually my DH is pretty good with my Christmas pressie - much better than I am with his - but this might be due to the fact that it's he only one he buys.....

Oxford English Dictionary??? (actually DD could do with a copy lol)

I know he tried and I am grateful don't get me wrong - just thought one surprise would be nice!!
