Anyone found kids walkie-talkies that actually work?

We are going to have a handful of 3-6 year olds over Christmas and I thought some kids walkie-talkies would be fun - except all the reviews are dire. Anyone got any that actually work - I've tried looking at the adult ones but even the basic ones seem to have too many buttons. Thanks

I would say go for adult ones - I've had 3 different kids ones & they have never worked. I agree they seem more complicated but kids ones seem pointless... Although interested if others have found good kids ones...

I got some basic adult ones from argos. They work okay with good quality batteries. There are only a couple of buttons to press. Could you pair up the 6 year old son with the younger children so the oldest can help the youngest use them.

We have some vtech ones that work well

Thanks I've found some basic binatones that seem like they might work ok. I did try to find the Vtechs recommended but they were out of stock in a lot of places. Thanks

Binatone Latitude 100 from Maplin and Amazon, currently £20. We have them and they are excellent. Available as yellow and black or pink on Amazon.

We were given some badged as 'Discovery Channel '. They work well. Not sure of price as they were a gift.

No, but the Star Wars ones only work in the same room (bit pointless) so don't purchase those for any starwars fans. Ds and dd are very disappointed. They put half each in to buy, thinking they could have conversations after bedtime.

No luck with the children's ones here either. We've also gone for the binatone ones. I think ours are the 150, they are rechargeable and come with a base station/charger unit. They were a bit more than the basic ones, but not that much if you shop around.

I think they fact that they are always ready to use (and we know where to find them Smile means we've used them more than we would have done otherwise.

Binatone are great - you can get them from Toys r us
