Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could get for one of my team at work who is muslim? Doesn't drink, so the standard bottle of wine is out. He's into walking and plays football. Last year I bought him walking socks. No idea what to get him this year, please help!

Theonlyoneiknow · 19/11/2015 12:26

Thought i'd add a wee note about the M&S beauty calenders. I'd made a note of the product code and even though OOS online I was able to place an order for one on the phone.

WhirlwindHugs · 19/11/2015 12:32

amazon knitting/crochet/latch hook craft kits 7.50 each look pretty good.

Dinkydoos · 19/11/2015 12:34

Thanks sitson fence got a few from that list!
For hard to buy men I recommend this
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003LRM85E?ref_=gbps_img_m-3_3507_ed5bfadd&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE
I bought it last year for DP , and it's amazing! So bright. Fabulous torch. He really loved it and came in nice box.
Just an idea for those hard to buy for people!

scandichick · 19/11/2015 12:37

snow, how about a £3 boot bag?
m.millets.co.uk/footwear/095181-eurohike-boot-bag.html

I swear I don't have shares in them, I just have tons of outdoorsy family to buy for...

snowgirl1 · 19/11/2015 12:39

Thanks scandi will have a look at that

EwanHoozami · 19/11/2015 12:40

Subscriptions are good for the hard-to-buy type

Magazines Direct have loads of subs for under £20 at the moment and you can go through Quidco

shash1982 · 19/11/2015 12:48

To the poster who was asking, just received the amazon bluetooth shower speaker.

Took ages but finally arrived!

SymphonyofShadows · 19/11/2015 12:49

Can someone please explain geek box to me? I've had a look and it seems perfect for DS1 but I don't want to have a year's subscription. How quickly can you cancel and what has been in the boxes? Thanks

SpikeWithoutASoul · 19/11/2015 12:50

Thanks Dinky! That's DH's first present bought. He is IMPOSSIBLE to buy for but I think he'll get very excited about a bright torch! hope he gets me more interesting presents

neddle · 19/11/2015 12:53

Symphony
I got this month's box which was shown somewhere on the website. It's got a black tshirt with boo on it, a book, a zombie car sticker and door plaque and a dracula puzzle.
Haven't got the free welcome box yet, but I'm a little underwhelmed so far. If I'd paid £17 for just this box, I'd be disappointed.

SymphonyofShadows · 19/11/2015 13:01

Thanks neddle I'm looking for a few extra things for DS1 so a box and the welcome box might be perfect if I know I can cancel after one box.

BeaBoo · 19/11/2015 13:09

I am so behind on present buying now!

Does anyone know where I can get cheap plastic sparkly rings/other jewellery for DD? She will be 2 just before Xmas and is obsessed with wearing my rings so I thought it would be a good stocking filler.

Oreocrumbs · 19/11/2015 13:16

I've got a £10 Boden voucher going spare, came in today's post. First to shout gets it!

MrsMoggy · 19/11/2015 13:18

Does anybody have any tesco direct codes please?

FabFlo · 19/11/2015 13:18

Yes pls for the boden voucher

Greenandblue123 · 19/11/2015 13:19

I've been trying to cancel my subscription with Geek Box but don't seem to be getting anywhere. I cancelled the original order within 15 minutes of placing the order as I realised it wasn't appropriate. Despite the order status saying processing cancellation I am still receiving emails to say the box will be delivered.
I have contacted customer services 4 times now but keep getting a standard reply that I can only cancel a subscription 72 hours before the box is due. So 15 minutes after order wont do it then Shock
I would avoid if I were you Angry

Oreocrumbs · 19/11/2015 13:20

Will pm you FabFlo.

Oreocrumbs · 19/11/2015 13:22

Boden voucher gone.

FabFlo · 19/11/2015 13:23

Thank you so much oreocrumbs

lots of Mogs (and the latest Mog book) in the Richmond (Surrey) Sainsburys this lunchtime

imnottoofussed · 19/11/2015 13:37

.

CRtester · 19/11/2015 13:38

Thanks to everyone who's mentioned busy books. I'd never really heard of them before, but spotted Thomas ones in Sainsburys for £3.99. They look great - think DS will love it.

Thanks also to the poster who mentioned the pass my parcel amazon £5 voucher. I collected my parcel this morning, so hope they send the amazon voucher soon.

Penguinbeaver · 19/11/2015 13:39

Symphony have you tried Claire's Accessories?

bettythebuilder · 19/11/2015 13:40

Shash1982 thanks for shower radio update, I'm still waiting for mine & getting a little concerned, so good to know you have yours.
TobleroneBoo thank you for the BHS toaster link... bargain...I've ordered one as mine is about to give up the ghost!
Snowgirl1 do you have The Works near you? Mine has a little 'local' section, I was in today and bought a little box/wallet with cards for 20 walk in the local area as a stocking filler for dh... they had quite a few books and guides to local and regional walks/hikes.
