For those buying the Melissa and Doug doorbell house. I have it and my toddler 'lost' his keys. It was a shame to chuck it away and buy a new one, so I wrote M&D in the States and they replaced the key for much less money too. Obviously while the keys were en route we found the old ones in a flower pot...

Dogmatix34 · 22/11/2015 09:10

Thanks Garden. That's perfect for my DC.

WhirlwindHugs · 22/11/2015 09:24

I love OKIDO! Thanks for the link. We found it good up to around 6/7 and then child still enjoys it but could also have enjoyed a bit more scientific detail. They are really good fun for asking questions and thinking about everything works though.

I emailed to cancel mygeekbox, bit odd because their email reply I got seemed to say they'd only cancelled the welcome box but when I went to check my account it seemed as though everything had been cancelled. I've deleted my card details and we'll see if anything turns up or not.

Pretty much done now, just need to think about DH (argh) and probably some chocs for teacher gifts etc. Might just make fudge for those.

I need help please.
DS (3) has done his letter to Santa and wants 4 things- 2 are sorted (Thomas that goes on his own and a Travis' trailer from Bob the Builder).
He also wants a yellow submarine (my fault- I taught him to sing it!) and a "Tidy up" sign.
I think the Imaginext submarine in yellow is nice but it seems OOS everywhere. Anyone seen it at a good price?
I'm still puzzling over the tidy up sign, might get one of those family rules things off eBay.

Chrisinthemorning · 22/11/2015 09:56

Also had another ccc alert- wooden Tidmouth sheds lowest ever price on Amazon

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 22/11/2015 10:05

evelyn was it you looking for an elsa dress? If so we have had a few dress ups from sainsburys which have always been great quality. Or The blue cape with white fur trim is from tkmaxx and comes with a blue long sleeve hooped dress. We have it, got rid of dress as dd doesn't like the hooped ones and she has a plainblue swishy dress :)

lozster · 22/11/2015 10:06

chris

I got an imaginext submarine from e-bay as it was a bit pricey in Argos. They go for about £8-£15 including postage. They should have two figures, flippers, a scuba mask and two torpedoes. As you can imagine not all the listings have all the bits but the toy itself is very robust and good fun. They do do a batman themed sub that is more widely available.

Donthate · 22/11/2015 10:13

I came on to mention the gap deal. I saw the fur lined hoodies in store yesterday for £30 each. I have ordered two. DH has ordered one too. I had to resist so we don't look like a mobile GAP advert

Donthate · 22/11/2015 10:13

I bought two for ds and dd!

Dulceetdecorum · 22/11/2015 10:20

Just a tip if anyone is buying some sporty/outdoor stuff: I put a sports watch in my basket on Wiggle (it was already the cheapest place to buy it) and left it overnight. This morning they have sent me a £10 voucher to use, so the watch is now a mega bargain! Might be worth a try?

DingbatsFur · 22/11/2015 10:25

British library shop is doing 10% off with Christmas10
shop.bl.uk
They have lots of literary themes gifts, Mr Darcy, nice decorations and vintage things. There is also a men's bristle shaving brush for £20.
You can also adopt a book and they send you a lovely gift certificate ans if you are ever in london you can then ask to see the book.

DingbatsFur · 22/11/2015 10:25

The imaginext yellow sub is a thing of beauty by the way. It is very robust!
