He is impossible to buy for. Hobbies - sailing, & computery things. ie, you have to know about these things to know what would be useful, and i haven't a clue. also getting into 'proper' cooking - he wants heston blumenthal's book & occassionally cooks really lovely food that takes all day to prepare.
so i thought - why not go to the fat duck? but it's too far from where we live. the neighbours are willing to babysit & even have dd overnight, so we can go out & get back late, but does anyone know of a REALLY good restaurant within an hour (or so) of Cambridge? We could go to London, but i have no idea where we could go?
Woudl prefr somewhere that does excellent food, but not snobby?
any ideas?

Take a look on lastminute.com for restaurant deals or even spa breaks for under 150.00

Does anyone know of anywhere they'd recommend? somewhere you've been & you enjoyed?
