Student present ideas

My brother is so hard to buy for. He didn't go to uni this year (because he decided he could pass a levels without evening turning up to school sadly for him that didn't work out and so he has been brought back to earth with a bump. He is now working hard and looking forward to going to uni. I was thinking of a present to inspire him and keep him on track. Budget about £25 thanks

What does he like/what is planning on studying?

Ahh, you could almost be talking about my brother! Placemarking as I'm equally stumped - got about as far as maybe getting him a cheap microwave for his bedroom so he can practice.

Backpack or voucher for that kind of shop?
A3 whiteboard and pens?
Mini fridge?
Desk organiser stuff?
Smartphone projector?
Lap desk / dinner tray thing for tablet?

I am myself a student and would welcome book tokens or similar, failing any particular inspiration an Amazon voucher leaves things nice and open. Hope this helps!
