Cracker gifts

I like to make my own crackers with little (max £5) gifts in. I don't normally have a problem with finding little bits for dp and I related to our hobbies, but any suggestions for our dds (age 2 and 4) and my dm would be gratefully received! For the dds, I ideally want something that will keep them busy at the table while I'm dishing out food.

Any ideas?

For DM a nail varnish or perfume miniature if you have an idea of what she'd like (I assume she doesn't need to be occupied at the table!).
No idea for the children I'm afraid!

DM - a lip balm or handbag sized handcream

DDs - stickers with a mini sticker book, little story book (that DM can read to them) finger puppets?

Thank you. Yes, I imagine dm will behave at the table without an activity! Finger puppets are an excellent idea.

What about a set of miniature card games like Donkey or Old Maid. I loved these card games and you get miniature sets which will fit in a cracker.

For your mom I'm thinking what about a key ring with a photo of your family or a charm for a charm bracelet or a miniature pot plant that they sell in garden shops.

For your mum, one of the current magazines has a small L'Occitane hand cream gift, that would be quite nice?

Barbeasty · 04/11/2015 07:35

I've done the magazine L'Occitane hand cream in crackers for the last couple of year.

For DS last year he got a toy car, this year I've bought some Peppa Pig figures and the smaller one should fit in.

I don't know if you can still get them, but when I was little we used to have indoor fireworks in ours.

A little set of crayons might work well.

Fab, some great ideas here. Magazine hand cream is ideal for dm, anyone know which may it's with?

Fireworks are inspired, but dare I risk with a 2yo? I shall consider. Otherwise I agree a little toy car or figure is the best way to go.

I bought ready made ones from studio.
However, they each contain a wind up toy to have races. I thought this was a good idea and better than the usual crap that comes in ready made ones.
I'm not clever enough to make my own. Grin
