Having just spent three hours on my hands and knees wrapping presents I need some tips on making things easier. My back is now agony.

I was going to ask how to wrap a handbag, fortunately was saved by an amazon delivery, so its now looking like a pretty boxed gift:)

Nowhere near the end of my wrapping, but had enough for today

ho ho ho bah humbug

The ironing board is good for wrapping at a comfortable height.

Little and often. I do some at the kitchen table and some on the floor but never for more than 30 minutes at a time.

I use the dining table or ironing board and use one of those sellotape dispenser/cutter things.

I'm not very good a wrapping tbh, I just do it and stick a bow or ribbon here and there.

The kids I don't even label half of them. They don't need them in their stockings or sacks. So only the ones under the tree need labels.

Tissue paper and gift bags for anything not box shaped - tape the bag shut along the top if little fingers might wander.

Tape dispenser, scissor mouse, clear table, glass (bottle) of wine. Away you go

Hands free scellotape dispenser

I used one at work and it was a marvel. I don't quite buy enough presents to justify one for my personal use, sadly.

I usually sit and wrap all my gifts in one or two sittings. At the table, with wine, a tape dispenser and a film on.

I write the name of the recipient on in small writing on the back and chuck it in a binbag when done.

Once the tree goes up or prior to me delivering the gift I put ribbons/gift tags on. Learnt my lesson the year I tagged them all chucled them in the bag then when I got them out most of the tags had come unstuck

I only have the kids presents to wrap really.

I wait until dp is at his "pre-Christmas client drinks" party.

I put the dc to bed, get all the presents out, wrapping paper, scissors, cellotape, bows pens etc out, grab a bottle of baileys and a glass, put a Christmas film on and spread myself on the floor to wrap.

I'm just having a think and all of dc Christmas presents (all bought and in the loft, organised this year I am) this year are proper boxes so will be really easy to wrap.
