Hi, inspired by various threads on here, I'd like to try making mini christmas cakes in tin cans.
Can anyone advise how long they need to cook and to approx depth of fill in the can.
Also, do you line and use brown paper on the outside?
So many questions....!

I would be interested to know this too!

We made our Christmas cakes this weekend and did a 'trial' in a ramekin, so similar size.

I baked it until it was cooked in the middle - tested with a skewer - which I think was about 45m at 150 degrees.

Ramekin was buttered and base lined, but I gave up on the sides as it was too fiddly! I think if I was using something as 'thin' as a tin can, I'd persevere with the outer layer of paper though.

Thank you Mazy...never thought it'd take as long as that!!
