Receptacles for home made stuff?

If you make presents like chutney for example, what do you put them in?

I collect jars throughout the year but if I don't have enough, i'll buy Tesco's own jam for 30p and use that jar. For smaller sizes I thought of baby food jars at 50p ish. I bought a large roll of plastic wrap to wrap gifts in that looks nice.

Any other thrifty ideas?

Ask on your local reuse group - lots of people have jars to give away - I got rid of about 30 yesterday
ilovefreegle.org or your local Facebook group
As for wrapping them, I scour charity shops for little wicker baskets, and arrange a few jars in them. Plastic wrap is a good idea, with a bow or sprig of holly stuck on (if recipient is that sort)
