What tv Xmas adverts do you hate the most?

Why is it that shopping in large, over crowded shopping malls don't resemble anything like the adverts on tv, where evryone has a lovely time and the kids are smiling and everyone looks great?

yesterday had to go to large mall, hell on earth. screaming kids, moaning parents and thats just us.

why are the adverts put on tv?

is it to taunt us?

I esp. hate the one where the lovely woman is sitting in front of a big open fire in a lovely room wrapping her lovely presents and she find a lovely bar of galaxy and is all surprised. Puke!!

my life is nothing like that.

The iceland ads fill me with a mixture of disgust for the crap food and pity for that poor cow Kerry Katona who is like watching a car crash happen in very slow motion.

oh I thought Iceland as soon as I saw the title of this thread but carmenere beat me to it! Just all that horrid frozen baby carrots for only a pound makes my stomach turn.

also at the other end of the spectrum the M&S food/sex adverts 'this is not just food...' me and dh make suggestive groaning noises whenever it comes on - FGS it's only a mince pie!

Obv. all the toy ones aimed at my dear subjective babes.

Am love love loving boots ones though!

I must be going round with my eyes shut at the minute, as i haven't actually seen that many, just the M&S one where Shirley Bassey is singing, and i quite like it

I really like the homebase one with the murder she wrote song...

argos is such a handy shop these days and so easy as you don't have towalk miles to buy and look for something i am a convert

and we are lucky it is only a couple of minutes walk! we can just think oh need Tv stand and get it immediately

Really, so far it is only the Iceland one I truly loathe and despise... I have always hated their 'that's why mums go to Iceland catchphrase' (ARGH ARGH ARGH) but the ads themselves just get worse and worse.

M&S Shirley Bassey trying to sing PINK...its just not good.

the worst by far is the macdonalds ones. those stupid robot/alien things.

I have learned to go to macdonalds during the day, pay for the toy then come home and make my own nuggets but do you think i could find a farking blue alien?? no.

so we had two weeks of tantrums every tea time becasue he wanted a blue alien.

GRRR the sooner they ban fast food ads the better

Hate Iceland and the horrid boy in the Tesco ad looking for his presents - yuck...
I do like the James Bond M & S one though and love the ones with the grouse on for Famous Grouse - look forward to it every year...

Definatly the Iceland and that wretched Argos one implying that you are the worst parent in the world if you don't get everything your little darlings want and even worse if you don't get it from Argos. AAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!

The Iceland one and the Argos one. Especially at the end where he selects that special star for his son and takes it to argos and then it changes into a scaletrix - hardly very Christmassy.
