From roller skates to inline skates??

Dd got 4 wheel rollerskates as a birthday present when she turned 8 and absolutely loved them. They became a huge part of her identity! Now a year on is it a good idea to get her inline rollerblades. Would it be a good transition or too much the same? Anyone got an idea on this? Thanks

Hmmm. I'm guessing if she loves the rollerskates, she might enjoy the inline skates, and actually in many ways inline skates are easier so it might not be a progression, so much as a diversification.

If the rollerskates still fit, and she's still enjoying them, then I would probably choose something else, unless you know she is keen.

If she needs new skates anyway, then maybe try to find out which she would prefer.

I would progress to in-line skates. When I was younger I found them so much more fun and you can do much more with them as it is easier to manoeuvre in them.
